Charles Gerald "Jerry" Grady

After a long illness, Charles Gerald “Jerry” Grady died at home on Monday, February 29, 2016. Jerry was born in Houston, Texas on January 24, 1939 to Henry Joseph and Olive Vyvial Grady. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and the University of Houston with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Jerry was one of the pioneers on Loss Control in the Chemical Industries and traveled extensively.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Violeta “Vi” Sarabia Grady; his son, Charles Michael “Mike” Grady; daughter-in-law, Carol Grady and granddaughter, Amelia Grady.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. To celebrate the Year of Mercy, the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. Graveside services will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

The family would like to thank New Century Hospice, David, Lucy, Lala, Janet and a very special friend and caregiver, Terry Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests works of mercy be done as you prefer.
