Consuelo "Connie" Prado

Consuelo “Connie” Gomez Prado, age 59, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on November 15, 1964. Connie graduated from West Oso High School. She was married to Ismael Prado Sr. on March 7, 1987. Connie worked for Sam’s Club for 30 years. She had a passion for spending time with friends and family whom she loved dearly. There isn’t anything Connie wouldn’t have done for those she loved and cared for.

Connie is survived by her beloved husband, Ismael Prado Sr.; children, Ismael Prado Jr. (Michaela) and Victoria Kristine Prado; grandchildren, Janiyah Salazar and Silas Ortiz; brothers, Marcos Gomez (Olga), Gregory Gomez (Graciela), and Andy Gomez; and her sisters, Guadalupe Atkinson (George), Sylvia Garza (Martin), and Severiana Gomez.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Paula R. Gomez; father, Marcos Gomez; and her brother, Steve Gomez.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a Holy Rosary will be recited that same night at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will occur at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
