

Connie was born on September 18,1930, in Corpus Christi to Simon and Amalia Mirabal Bolanos. She graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1948. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Alejandro R. Flores. Together, they made a home in Corpus Christi and raised six children.
She is survived by her children, Maria Flores-Magnon (Robert), Jose A. Flores, Henry Flores, Blanca Estela Arredondo (Paul Salinas), Felicia Flores (Alex Meza). She also leaves to cherish her memory one Brother, Deacon Armando Bolanos, 16 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alejandro R. Flores, her daughter Herminia (Minnie) Flores, her parents Simon and Amalia Mirabal Bolanos, her sisters Leonor and Amparo Bolano, her brother Francisco (Frank) Bolanos, and grandsons Joshua Diaz and Gabriel Benavidez.
After graduating, Connie worked briefly at Palm Finance as a bookkeeper before joining the family business, Mirabal Bakery, where she met Alejandro. A devoted homemaker, Connie poured her heart into raising her children and creating a warm, joyful home. She and Alejandro shared a deep love for music and dancing, often bringing their children to enjoy the festivities.
Following Alejandro's passing after 36 years of marriage, Connie continued her life with grace and faith, dedicating herself to her family and to her church and community. She was an active member of the SSMCC Guadalupanas and Works of Mercy Group. She also volunteered at the Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. In her later years, she found joy in traveling with her two sisters and close friend, Mary Martinez.
Connie was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious smile, and ever-present music in her home. Whether dancing alone or with a grandchild, she brought joy to every room she entered. In 2010, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, which ultimately contributed to her passing.
A visitation for Consuelo will be held Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415 with a rosary from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, June 16, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A committal will will follow from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
