Cris Curiel

Cris Curiel, age 58, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on October 14, 2023. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on January 31, 1965. Cris graduated from C.C. Business School. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but was also self-employed as her family’s appointed tax preparation manager.

Cris had a passion for cooking and baking. If she wasn’t cooking for her family, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends.

Cris is survived by her daughter, Candie Curiel; son, Robert Casas; grandchildren, Rudy Jr., Cede, Alyssa, and Robert Jr.; great-grandchildren, Adrian, CJ, AJ, Sofia, Ruby, and Alyvia; mother, Frances Garza; siblings, Twiggy Curiel (Johnny Amaro), Mike Lazo (Bea Lazo), Eric Garza, Amy Curiel, Anthony Curiel, and Armando Galvan.

Cris is reunited with father, Juan R. Curiel; paternal grandparents, Pablo and Elena Curiel; maternal grandparents, Victorino and Francisca T. Garza; and her siblings, Johnny Curiel, Frances Curiel, and Roxanne Lazo.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 9 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately after at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
