She’s survived by her son Sean Stephan and his wife Marisol, daughter Sky De La Garza, son Justin De La Garza, sister Anastacia Hunter and her husband Bruce, brother Luis De Leon and his wife Rosemary, and sister Carmen Perez and her husband Juan.
She dedicated her life to Jehovah God and got baptized on May 19, 2001. She was a self-sacrificing LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) for 42 years, was a creative seamstress, artist, enjoyed antiques, adored her children and family and had a passion for studying the Bible. As a Christian, she publicly shared the Good News of God’s Kingdom government, as ruled by our King, Jesus Christ.
While some Christians will be resurrected to heavenly life to rule with Jesus for 1,000 years over the Earth (Re 5:9, 10; Re 20:4, 6)
Cynthia looked forward to living forever under that Kingdom rulership when the Earth is restored to its original Paradise condition as promised when Jesus told the man dying next to him “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise” (Lu 23:43)
Throughout history, anyone who lived and died without an opportunity to understand and apply Bible truth also have the prospect of a resurrection in the earthly Paradise. (Ac 24:15)
In support of the many scriptures describing future earthly Paradise conditions, Jesus came to Earth and provided real life examples of those promises by curing every form of chronic disease and illness, eliminating hunger for those that followed him, having authority over the natural elements of the Earth by calming storms and walking on water, and he also brought back to life, here on this planet, people who had died so they could be reunited with their family and friends again.
Because Cynthia knew there is nothing impossible for Jehovah Almighty God to accomplish and he always keeps his promises, she was encouraged to share this Good News of God’s Kingdom and how under Jesus Christ's rulership, there will be no more natural disasters, economic hardships, no sickness, crime, violence, or wars, and the animals and all creation will be at peace.
We look forward to hugging and kissing her, eating, and laughing with her once again.
Talk will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 4:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 5436 Richter St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
