Daniel R. Diaz was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 21, 1933. He was baptized as a minister of Jehovah God on December 28th, 1963, and passed away peacefully in death on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at Cimmaron Place Nursing Center in Corpus Christi, TX.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 12 years Sandra Diaz, his brother George (Alice) Diaz, his sisters Margie Diaz and Linda Diaz-Salinas. He was a grandfather to his five dear grandchildren, Amber Diaz (Marc), Alex Diaz, Allyson Diaz, Abigail Diaz and Kolton Diaz, along with 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Minerva P. Diaz (2009) and his beloved son Dennis Diaz (2011) as well as his brothers Benny Diaz (2015), Bobby Diaz (2024) and Sammy Diaz.
Danny had an enthusiasm for the ministry and cherished the opportunity to help many dedicate their lives to the doing of Jehovah’s will. He also enjoyed many privileges of service, serving as the Coordinator of the Body of Elders of the Brawner Parkway Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Chairman of the Hospital Liaison Committee, Rooming & Program Overseer for our District Conventions, Assembly Hall Overseer and as well as a Substitute Circuit Overseer. Before the provision for recorded music, he conducted a live orchestra utilized during our conventions.
After graduating from Texas A&M University Kingsville Danny devoted 40 years of his life to CCISD, working as a teacher, principal and his favorite position as band director.
Though his physical health began to decline his confidence in Jehovah’s future promises never dimmed. He was determined to attend what would be his last Memorial commemoration of Jesus death on April 2 of this year. He continued to hold fast to the scriptures, especially the promise of the new world to come, where no one would say “I am sick.” (Isaiah 33:24.) His favorite scripture was Daniel 2:44, and he had firm faith in its promise of a kingdom that would bring about peaceful conditions on the earth, free from sickness and death. We are all confident, in fulfillment of John 5:28,29, Danny will be among those whom Jesus calls out of the grave, where his faithful family and friends will welcome him back to enjoy eternal life on earth with all who have missed him so deeply.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Jonette Wiginton of AccentCare Home Health as well as the staff of AAdi Home Health and Hospice. We also extend a special thanks to each team member instrumental in Danny’s care at Cimarron Place Nursing Center for making his final days safe and comfortable.
A Talk will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, US, on June 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
