A graduate of Foy H. Moody High School he was a fan of track and field and even more so of football. No matter where the gridiron was, he was always ready to play and even earned the nickname “The Bull” for how hard he hit. He had an incredible work ethic, sharp memory, was strong-willed, and was an amazing competitor. His wit, charm, and easy-going personality made him fun to be around. He took a liking to music (oldies in particular), landscaping (his mom’s yard man), and watching the Dallas Cowboys. One thing that really brought him joy was whenever his grandchildren were around, they found a way to warm his heart and it was apparent by the glow and smile on his face. A man of reflection and deep thought he loved to start his day with a morning prayer and daily inspiration as it served as a reminder never to lose faith. He took what he learned and tried to pass it on in one way or another. If you could ask him what one of his greatest accomplishments was, he would undoubtably tell you…his son. Watching his son grow into the man of faith he became gave him even more reason to know that prayer works, and God is real. Though absent from the body he continues to live on, not just in eternity, but in the memories and thoughts of all those who had the privilege of calling him family and friend.
