He was born on June 17, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Daniel was a caring and loving man. He was a (LCDC) Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, special education teacher and he also taught GED classes. He loved humanity and tried to instill a piece of himself in everyone he met. He always stood for what was right and never backed down from his convictions.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Edwards Figueroa and brother-in-law, Nicolas Medina III. Daniel leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Cynthia Ann Walters; son, Jeremiah (Katy) Walters, Aaron Walters, Katrina Walters, Luis Hinojosa and Thomas Cramer; grandchild, Ethan Walters; brothers, Douglas (Carol) Walters and Bobby (Maria) Walters; sister, Gloria Medina (the late Ruben) and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
