Daniel Zamora

Daniel Zamora went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013, he was 93 years old. Daniel was born on November 12, 1919 in Kenedy, Texas. Daniel worked as a landscaper for over 40 years up to retirement. He was an avid dog lover, enjoyed fishing, gardening, carpentry, auto mechanics, watching baseball and boxing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Porfirio and Paula Zamora; sisters, Ciria Garcia, Josefa Cortez; brothers, Genovevo R. Zamora, Luis R. Zamora and his wife Aurora Zamora.

He is survived by his children, Porfirio (Blackie) and Christina Zamora, Arturo and Margie Zamora, Abraham Zamora, Magdalena Guajardo, Olga and Rene Ruiz, Celia Caballero, Jaime and Diana Zamora, and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Special thanks to Trisun Nursing Home and Lighthouse Hospice Staff who helped care for our father.

Honoring as pallbearers will be David Vela, Juan Manuel Benavidez, Michael Gallagher, Steven Padilla, Daniel J. Zamora and Cristian Vela.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. July 25, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Seaside Memorial Park.
