Danny Ray Buckley

He is preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, Oscar Thomas and Don Edward Buckley and Raul and Joe Maldonado.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Louise Buckley; his children, Tina Buckley of Alice, Dannette Buckley of Ben Bolt, Daniel Buckley (Holly) of Rocksprings, WY and Barbara (Robert) Greses of Corpus Christi; sons-in-law, James Holt and Kevin Wilson; grandchildren, Andrew Holt (Yessica), Haley Palacios (Zeke), Lydia Holt, Rolando Greses, Sierra Wilson, Jeremy Holt, Jesse Greses, Kevin Wilson and Carlos Greses; and great-grandchildren, Natalie Palacios and Adam Holt. He is also survived by his siblings, Bernice Lee McKie of Freesoil, MI, Roberta Cowgill (Hoppy) of Coloma, MI, Kenner Buckley (Iluminada) of Coloma, MI, Terry Buckley (DeDe) of Coloma, MI, Bobbie Steckelberg (Dale) of Beeville, Sandra Belcher of Beeville and Donna Bednorz (Eugene) of George West; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Buckley; a special member of the family, Jimmy Newman and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Danny was a loving and giving Dad, Papa and friend. Besides his family, some of his joys were rebuilding antique cars, showing his cars in car shows and fishing with his kids and grandchildren. He worked for Air Equipment Rental of Alice for the last ten plus years. Prior to that, he worked in the auto industry in Michigan and had several small businesses including Buckley's Wood Products and Coloma Tae Kwan Do Karate Club.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Chapel service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 am. Services will conclude in the chapel.
