Dario Vargas Mendez

Dario married Lupe Zapata Mendez on December 27, 1964, together they had three children. Dario worked as a longshoreman for International Longshoreman Association.

Dario was a proud member of Proud member of Southport congregation ofJehovah’s Wetnesses. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, road trips, camping and he had a passion for Witnessing to others about Jehova's Organization. He was well known for cooking for large events including anniversaries, weddings, and assemblies of Jehova's Witnesses.

Dario is preceded in death by parents; Narciso and Dolores Mendez, two brothers; Narciso and Joe Mendez and sister; Celia Abastta Mendez.

He is survived by his wife; Lupe Zapata Mendez, daughters: Ruth Mendez and Vanessa Mendez, son; Adrian D.(Dianna) Mendez, grandchildren; Aaron (Aryssa), Aidan, Andrew, Brianna, Kenny and Great Grand Daughter; Amelia Elena Mendez.

Talk will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses located at 3715 Brawner Parkway, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 at 2:00 pm.
