David graduated from King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life grounded in loyalty, steady determination, and a strong sense of where he came from.
In the days and years that followed, David found genuine enjoyment in the simple, familiar pleasures that brought him peace and kept him close to the people and places he loved. He spent time fishing, gambling, and working on cars—pastimes that reflected his hands-on nature and his appreciation for the moments that felt real and unhurried. He also loved the beach, drawn to the calm and comfort of the shoreline.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Benavides Sr., and his mother, Yolanda Benavides. He is survived by his daughters, Felicia Nicole Ramos, Stephanie Renee Salazar, and Arianna Renee Lopez; his sisters, Herlinda Martinez, Diana Benavidez, Belinda Lopez, and Irma Avalos; and numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411, on July 25, 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Harbor Hospice, Davita Dialysis, and the medical team at Christus Spohn Shoreline ICU for their care and support.
