David was married to Elaine Emmons on July 29, 1979. He worked as a mechanic for Corpus Christi Naval Air Station for many years. David was a member of the Summit Church.

Interment at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Sunshine Cemetery, 2501 Rodd Field Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78413.
