Delfina fought the good fight, she earned her wings, and she completed her race and always had her faith. We weren’t ready, but she was. It gives us sorrow because we will not physically see, touch, or hug her, but she is with our Lord and Savior, and he is good and may His mercy endure forever. He was ready for her to go home.
Delfina had a deep passion for cooking and baking. She was especially known for her homemade tamales, tortillas, and pan de polvo cookies that everyone adored and asked for. She was always the first one to offer help for her family. She would always welcome family into her kitchen and would gladly cook for everyone, she had to make sure everyone was fed. Delfina worked at a restaurant as a cook for a major part of her life. Delfina was a loving mother and grandmother who always made sure her kids and grandkids had everything they needed. She was the family seamstress, she would always make sure we had clothes on our backs, and that means that world to us.
She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Robstown; she was a member of the guadalupanas. Delfina was always volunteer to help her sister’s with quinceneras and wedding. She loved to dance and sing and throw gritos for everyone to hear.
