

Donaciano Quarnstrom, 66, took his last breath on September 4, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 17, 1960, in Robstown, Texas. Donaciano was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He was also a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Those who knew Donaciano will remember him as a man who could always find room for a joke and never ran out of stories to tell. His sense of humor and gift for storytelling brought laughter and memories to those around him. Even in the face of declining health, Donaciano met each day with remarkable resolve. He refused to give up and fought hard until his very last breath.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sotero Gutierrez, and his mother, Eleanor Quarnstrom.
Donaciano is survived by his wife, Yolanda Quarnstrom, and his loving children: Abigail Farley (Matthew), Elizabeth Leyva (Jose), Christina Quarnstrom-Godert (Michael), Donaciano Quarnstrom Jr. (Vivian), Adam Quarnstrom (Monica), and Marcelo Rivera (Daisy); his brothers and sisters, Mamie Parra, Richard Ramirez, Peter Quarnstrom, and Frances Alaniz; as well as 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory and legacy in their hearts.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Corpus Christi Hospice, Mr. Cadillac Pena, Ms. Hilda Soliz, the nurses and staff at Christus Spohn Shoreline ICU, and his lifelong friend, Charlie Pavlik, for their care, kindness, and support during Donaciano’s final days.
Donaciano will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His stories, laughter, strength, and unwavering spirit will remain with his family and friends forever.
May he rest in peace.
