Elida S. Gonzalez

Elida S. Gonzalez died peacefully on April 6, 2018 at Refugio Nursing and Rehab Center. Elida was born on July 18, 1929 in Bruni, Texas to Abundio and Sofia Solis. She married Frank Gonzalez and the couple had three children. Around 1965, Elida went to work for Corpus Christi State National Bank in the trust department. She was the first female, Hispanic Bank Officer in South Texas. She worked at CC State National Bank until retirement. She was a long-time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Elida is survived by her brothers, Ray Solis and Abundio Solis (Donna); her sisters: Dorothy Solis and Sylvia Torres (Pedro); her grandchildren: Stephanie Kemp (Rob) and James Gonzalez (Patty) and nine Great Grandchildren.

A chapel service will be held at Cage Mills Funeral Directors on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. followed by interment at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
