Elida S. Hernandez

She married Jesus Hernandez Jr. on August 10, 1964 and was a loving housewife. Elida

enjoyed listening to tejano music, watching her telenovelas, and also loved going shopping. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She had a passion for taking pictures of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Hernandez, Jr; parents, Genaro P. Sanchez and Ester M. Sanchez; brothers, Guadalupe Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez Sr., Onesimo Sanchez, Isidero Sanchez, Lucas Sanchez, and Genaro Sanchez Jr.; sisters, Ofelia Sanchez, Esther Sanchez, Juanita Cisneros, Estela Sanchez, and Olivia Sanchez.

She is survived by her children, Eric, Javier (Juanita), Jason (Stephanie) and Jordan; grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Amber, Alexandria, Courtney, Briana, Ed Jordan, Adam, Heather and Justin; brothers, Remigio Sanchez, and Juan (Rosa) Sanchez; and five great-grandchildren.

A public visitation for Elida will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Monday, February 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78416. A committal and interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
