Elida D. Trevino went to be with her Lord on December 18, 2015 at the age of 87. She was known for her love of music and for her delicious cooking. She was born on May 8, 1928 in McAllen, Texas to the late Carlos and Julia Diaz.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Israel Trevino and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, Manuel Z. Trevino of 61 years, her children; Gloria (Thomas) Desmond; Cordelia (Jacob Jordan) Loya; Selena Trevino, Martin (Eva) Trevino; Manuel (Chubbie) Trevino, Jr.; Reuel (Amra); Rolando (Connie) Trevino; Felipe Trevino; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous other loving family members and friends and her loving pet “Chicho Jr.”.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery.
