Elisabeth E. De Leon

She graduated from San Benito High School and later married her husband of 35 years, Roel R. De Leon in 1989. Elisabeth found joy in her occupation and was employed at Luby’s Cafeteria for 10 years. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. Elisabeth enjoyed her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Meza; brother, Wally Tijerina; sister, Pat Cortez and uncle, Luiz Meza.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Roel R. De Leon; sons, Roy De Leon (Monique), Adrian De Leon; grandchildren, Krislyn, Michael and Kaisley De Leon; sisters, Janie Gonzalez (Larry), Jesusa Martinez (Juan), Nelda Almazan, Gracie Duarte (Mando), Yolanda Soliz, Cindy Cortez and JoAnn Meza; brothers, TJ Tijerina (Patty), Walberto “Wally” Tijerina, Luiz Meza Jr. and Jimmy Cortez; 31 nieces and nephews and over 50 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Cheyenne on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 4:00 - 9:00PM, the Holy Rosary will be Recited at 7:00PM and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
