Elizabeth R. Tanguma, 63, of Corpus Christi, Texas, wife of Alejandro G. Tanguma, returned to her heavenly home on June 22, 2017. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Elizabeth was born to the late Ignacio and Maria Rodriguez in Alice, TX on January 6, 1954. She was immersed in the Catholic faith and community which in turn would be her lifelong support. Her love for children and teaching lead her to a career with the West Oso ISD for 22 years. She was a teacher of C.C.D. for numerous years making an impact in many lives. Elizabeth was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend on February 29, 1992. Elizabeth helped raise her children and multiple nieces and nephews with patience, discipline, humility, and love. She left a legacy of love and perseverance. The way she loved us all and touched our lives will remain in our hearts forever. Her friendliness, kindness, devotion, and love for all are a tribute to the beauty of her heart and soul. Elizabeth is survived by her husband Alejandro G. Tanguma; her son, Nathan A. Tanguma; her daughter, Alison (Gabriel) Blancas; the loves of her life and treasures of her heart, grandchildren, Emilia Rose and Amiel Aharon Blancas; sisters, Maria Antonietta Ramon and Margarita Farias (Rodriguez); brother, Cristobal S. Rodriguez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio and Maria Rodriguez; brothers, Jesus Aginigua and Arnoldo S. Rodriguez Sr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly with a rosary service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Pilar Church in Corpus Christi, Texas. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
