Emily Dlabaja Kral

Emily Agnes Dlabaja Kral was born on October 11, 1920 to Anton and Albina (Cepak) Dlabaja in West, (McLennan County) Texas. She was raised in West, Texas for most of her life,  She completed school through the sixth grade in West until the decision was made to stay home and help the family on the farm.  She met the love of her life in West and married Eugene Earnest Kral on September 19, 1942.  They welcomed their daughter, Nileen Eugena on August 1, 1943.  Once retired from the United States Army, they relocated the family to Corpus Christi, Texas where they ventured into retail and various other employment including farming, child care, plant and garage sales. Emily spent the last years of her life in Hobson, Texas, closer to her grandkids and family.  She fell victim to Alzheimer’s and ironically last remembers her life at the age of 23, the year of her daughter’s birth. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister; her husband, Eugene Kral; and her only child, Nileen Kral Albers. She is survived by one sister, Ann Dlabaja Pasderny of Corpus Christi; several nieces and nephews; her son-in-law, Kenneth Albers of Hobson, Texas;  her grandchildren, Kerri Albers of Hobson, Texas; three great-granddaughters, Kourtney, Kami and Kelsi and one great-great grandson, Tyler; Keith Albers (and his wife Tamyra) of Gillett, Texas, and their children, Kyle and Cayla; Kellie Albers Pawelek (and her husband Robert) of Gillett, Texas and two great-grandsons, Jace and Jaxon. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick’s in Corpus Christi for many years and finished her spiritual worship at St. Paul’s Nursing Home in Kenedy, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  Her final resting place will be at Seaside Memorial in Corpus Christi.
