Emma A. Salazar

Emma was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who was loved by everyone.

Left behind to cherish her memories is her husband of 62 years, Vicente Salazar Jr.; her daughter, Irma (Robert) Garza; sons, Juan Manuel (Monica) Salazar, Jose Luis (Beatrice) Salazar, Vicente (Thelma) Salazar III and Abel Salazar; son-in-law, Richard Gonzalez; sisters, Elma (Ramiro) Sanchez, Diolanda (Jose) Martinez, Manuela (Robert) Lopez, Oralia (Paul) Carranza, Bella Arredondo, Amelia (Lorenzo) Lara, Maria Luisa (Daniel) Prado, Rosalinda (Alfredo) Garza, Minerva (Guadalupe) Suarez, Maria T. (Arnoldo) Rivera; and brothers, Juan (Raquel) Tovar and Alfredo (Maria) Arredondo; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Pedro Jr and Francisca Arredondo; stepmother, Victoria C. Arredondo; daughter, Isabel Gonzalez and infant son, Abel Salazar; grandson, Joshua Abel Salazar; brothers, Ismael Arredondo, Israel Arredondo, Pedro Arredondo III and infant, Conrado Arredondo.

Emma will be remembered for her devotion to family and friends. She had a passion for cooking, gardening and making family and friends laugh with her sense of humor and jokes. She was a member of Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening at Funeraria Del Angel (549 CheyenneSt.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church (1101 Bloomington St.). Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park (2731 Comanche St.)
