Enedina G. Nadine Barrera, 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on August 1, 2020. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 3, 1948. Nadine graduated from Roy Miller High School, class of 1967.
She was married to Armando Luis Barrera on May 22, 1971. Nadine had a career in Cosmetology. She was a proud wife of a disabled Vietnam Veteran of the Navy. Her passion was her family; especially, her grandchildren and 1st great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father, Candelario Gloria and her mother, Felicita Castro Gloria and her sister, Alice S. Garcia.
She is survived by her husband, Armando Luis Barrera; son, William C. (Elizabeth) Barrera; daughter, Catherine C. Garcia; grandchildren, Eric C. Barrera, Noah A. (Kerensa) Garcia, Cody A. Garcia, Carolina A. Garcia, and Alexis P. Barrera. She is also survived by her one great-grandchild: Alyster W. Garcia. Nadine also leaves behind her eldest sister, Felicitas Felita G. Lopez.
Nadine loved to be called a Navy Wife. She was often seen wearing her cap and t-shirt stating that fact. She adored her son, Chris and was extremely proud of the husband and father that he is. Her best friend was her daughter, Cissy, whom she shared a special bond with.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel – Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are mandatory while in the facility.
