Eric Chavez

He is survived by his wife, Nikki Chavez; daughter, Kayla Chavez; parents, Carlos A and Elda R. Chavez; sisters, Jennifer and Linette Chavez; mother and father-in-laws, John and Beverly McNeill; Brother-in-law, Beau McNeill; sister-in-law, Jackie McNeill; paternal grandmother, Gloria Guerra; maternal grandparents, Manuel and Dora Rios; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

Eric was a loving husband, father, and son, and he will be missed by everyone that knew him especially his family, he had a special love for his daughter Kayla. He was an avid sports fan, who enjoyed participating in MMA , Boxing and Basketball. He was a loyal fan to his teams, the Cowboys, Spurs and the Texas Longhorns. During his free time, he enjoyed playing Basketball, especially with his wife, Nikki. He was very knowledgeable on trivia and everyone always wanted him on their team during sport trivia and trivial pursuit competitions.

Visitation will begin on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date.
