She was born April 12, 1927 in Sarita, Texas to Eduardo and Dolores Garza.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Ermelinda will be missed dearly by all who knew and love her and will be remembered by her love of laughter, devotion to family and her enjoyment of dancing. She received a G.E.D. in 1975.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years Eliazar Hernandez, Sr.; four brothers and one sister.
Ermelinda is survived by her children, Elisa Robles, Elida Rodriguez, Eliazar Hernandez, Jr., Eduardo Hernandez, Esiquio Hernandez, Ernesto Hernandez, Emilio Hernandez and Elsa Breeling; 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2016, 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
