Ernest Garcia

Ernest was a supervisor for Parks and Recreation for City of Corpus Christi for 27 years.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, which he was very proud of.

Ernest leaves his loving wife of 38 years, Maria Guadalupe Garcia; his seven children, Ernie (Vicki) Garcia, John Andrew Garcia, Judi Garcia, Humberto Contreras, Jr., Juanita Contreras, Joni Garcia (Andy) Caceres, Sadie (Felicia) Garcia-Allen; three sisters, Lucy Flores, Vangie (Eligio) Garcia and Yolanda (Adolfo) Lerma; thirteen grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors.
