

Esperanza Salinas, 94, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Monday, September 03, 2012. Mrs. Salinas was born September 19, 1917 in Alejandrenia Ranch in Zapata Viejo, Texas. She moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in June 1955, where she lived a loving, spiritual life with her husband, Hilario Salinas who preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Salinas was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church for many years and participated in the Holy Family Cursillo.
Mrs. Salinas is preceded in death by her parents, Porfirio and Crescencia Gutierrez, seven siblings, and husband of 63 years, Hilario Salinas.
Mrs. Salinas is survived by her four children, son, Homero (Dolores) Salinas; daughter, Veronica Gutierrez (James Gonzalez); son, Juan Luis (Maria) Salinas; son, Arturo (Erin) Salinas; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Esperanza Salinas was one of the most loving, forgiving and spiritual person her family and friends ever knew. Mrs. Salinas will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, neighbors, church and community friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Zapata, Texas later that afternoon.
