She had just completed her 83rd birthday five days ago.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ambrosio Rios and a daughter, Elena Rios.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories four sons, Robert Rios, Tony Rios, Roy Rios and James (Rachel) Rios; seven grandchildren, Robert Rios, Melissa Rios, Sandra Rios, Roy Rios, Francisco Rios, Bobby Rios and Jennifer Rios; her survivors include nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her siblings, Rogelio, Clara, and Maggie and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evangelina was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. She was a bus driver for the Corpus Christi Independent School District until her retirement.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel. A holy mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
