Evelyn Juanita Ellis Hensley

Evelyn Juanita Hensley, 95 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away 14 November, 2016. She was born in Pakota, Illinois on October 30th 1921 to William and Esther Ellis. Evelyn had one brother, Dale Ellis. Evelyn graduated from Pakota High School in 1939. She was married to Jay Douglas Hensley in 1946. They were blessed with the birth of their daughter Jayne Marie August 21st 1958. The family lived in Danville Indiana before moving to Corpus Christi. Evelyn was a dedicated wife and mother who provided her husband Jay Douglas and daughter Jayne with a warm and loving home. She loved sewing, quilting and cooking and made a career as a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jay Douglas Hensley, Father and Mother, William and Esther Ellis and Brother, Dale Ellis. She is survived by her daughter Jayne Marie Hensley, nephew Joe Hensley JR. and his wife Sharon as well as nieces and nephews and friends who loved her. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Home Chapel.
