Born in Harrison, Arkansas, on May 27, 1928, to James T. Keeton and Alpha Etta Slagaly, Evelyn was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving sister, Grace Brisco; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Webb; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Rhoda Evans; her brothers, James Keeton and Jerry Orr; her sons, James (Jim) and Richard (Ricky) Webb; her daughter, Linda Stier; and her beloved husband, Elmer (E.A.) Webb.
Evelyn and Elmer were married on May 25, 1946, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, faith, and mutual respect. Together they raised three children-James, Richard, and Linda.
A gifted seamstress, Evelyn found joy in crafting tailor-made outfits for herself and her loved ones. She built an impressive collection of dolls, drawn to their intricate details and delicate attire. She was uplifted by the harmonies of gospel music.
Affectionately known as "Nana 2," Evelyn's warm smile, gentle spirit, and boundless love will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy of compassion, creativity, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A visitation for Evelyn will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. A Religious Ceremony will occur Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 12:00 PM. An Entombment will occur Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
