

Fidencio was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent over 35 years with Sysco Food Company, where he worked in the main warehouse, operated a forklift, and spent many years in the freezer department before retiring in 2001. His strong work ethic and commitment were admired by all who knew him.
He was a man full of life who found joy in the simple pleasures. Fidencio loved golfing, playing pool, camping, swimming, and spending time at the beach. He had a deep passion for music, photography, and videography, and he cherished traveling and hosting barbecues with family and friends. Known for his warm smile and great sense of humor, he had a special gift for making others laugh and feel at ease.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Francisco Hernandez and Benjamin Hernandez.
Fidencio leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his children, Rudy Hernandez and Rita Hernandez Reyes; his 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild whom he loved deeply; and his siblings, Olivia H. Barrera, Guadalupe H. Mendiola, Trinidad H. Montelongo, Eddie and Janie Hernandez, and Pilar Hernandez.
Fidencio’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Viewing and Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, on March 31, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary there that evening at 7:00 pm. Continued Visitation & Final Viewing will take place at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery on April 1, 2026, at 9:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 am. The Rite of Committal and Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery on April 1, 2026, at 11:30 am.
Final resting place will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi.
