She was born on March 27, 1923 to Frank and Rose Zapata in San Antonio, Texas.
She had been a Aquatics Instructor and a housewife.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward W. Ahrens; her son, Edward F. Ahrens; her daughter, Peggy Sue Hanke and her granddaughter, Sheryl Hanke Colburn.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean Milam; six grandchildren, Kenneth Ahrens, Deborah Allen, Steven Hanke, Laura Johnson, Phillip Milam and Edward Stoll II and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ahrens, Joe Dees Sr., Kevin Ebers, Phillip Milam, Dale Scott and Edward Stoll II.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14th at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
