

Frances Hartman Marsden passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 10, 2017. Frances was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 4, 1940. She resided in Corpus Christi her entire life and had been married to her loving husband, William C. (Bill) Marsden, fifty-one years.
Frances was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for over thirty years. She was always active in Catholic organizations and was conferred the Papal Honor by Pope John II on May 28, 1983.
Frances was past President of the Catholic Daughters of America, as well as Sultanas de Baza and was a member of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
Frances and Bill owned and operated Marsden’s Flowers for many years and in later years; she combined an antique shop along with the flowers.
Frances had a passion for all things “antique” and served as Treasurer and President of the Centennial House. She also assisted in decorating the Centennial House for the Christmas tours for many years.
Frances was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Hartman, two sisters, Pauline Wilems and Jeanette Ray, her-in-laws, Bessie Mae and Allan Marsden, and her brother-in-law, Allan Marsden, Jr. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Bill, her brother, James Hartman, cousins, Norma and Jack McCord and many other cousins.
Visitation will be held at Cage Mills Funeral Directors on Everhart on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park. A reception will follow the graveside services for family and friends at the St. Pius X Parish Hall.
