Frances LaNell Preslar Phelps, 76, passed away September 5, 2012. She was born October 22, 1935 in Round Rock, Texas to Oscar and Gladys Preslar. The family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1936. Frances graduated from Ray High School. She received her teaching degree from University of Corpus Christi. She retired from teaching at Flour Bluff ISD. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by Joyce Frith of Houston; Mary Sue (Suzie) and Paul Woodruff; Jimmy D. Preslar and Billy G. Preslar and (Wynona) all of Corpus Christi and W. Charles Preslar of Katy; She had one daughter, Debra Luann Phelps. Visitation will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Chapel service at 1:00 pm. Private entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
