Francisca Longoria Flores

With heavy hearts and endless love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Francisca Longoria (Garcia) Flores, who peacefully earned her angel wings on July 7, 2026, at the age of 85. A lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, Francisca was born on October 10, 1940, in Gonzales, Texas, and spent her life creating a legacy rooted in faith, love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Francisca was blessed with two great loves in her life. She was first married to Nieves Garcia, and later to Vico Flores, with whom she shared many treasured years. Whether it was enjoying simple lunch dates, grabbing a hamburger, or taking scenic drives to T-Heads, the moments they shared brought her great happiness.

Above all else, Francisca's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose love knew no limits. She cherished every phone call, every holiday gathering, and every opportunity to cook alongside her children, passing down family recipes and teaching them that the best meals are made with love. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting feeling that everyone belonged.

A gifted homemaker and creative soul, Francisca found happiness in sewing, crocheting, crafting, pottery, and caring for her beloved cats and dog. Her handmade blankets were treasured gifts that wrapped loved ones not only in warmth but in the love she stitched into every piece. She never hesitated to share her talents, patiently teaching anyone who wanted to learn the art of crocheting.

Francisca was known for her gentle wisdom and loving guidance. Her children and grandchildren often turned to her for advice, knowing they would always be met with compassion, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her strength, grace, and selfless heart made her the cornerstone of her family, and she will forever be remembered as the best mother and grandmother anyone could have asked for.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nieves Garcia and Bijido Flores; her parents, Jose Sosa Longoria and Petra Gonzales Longoria; her siblings Micaela, Jose, Manuel, Augustine, Benta, Guadalupe, Victoria, and Bruno; her children Rosita, Lupe, George, Mary Ann, and Dolores; and her great-grandchildren Priscilla, Alonzo, and Aubrey.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children Abraham Garcia, Jose Garcia, Isabel Garcia, Angie L. Garcia Sanchez, Rachel Garcia (Joel), and Nieves Garcia (Roselinda), along with 34 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry a piece of her heart with them.

Serving as pallbearers are Jesus Sanchez Jr., Angel Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Ramiro Garcia, Joe Angel Garcia, Rudy Contreras, and Victor Hinojosa.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Francisca's love lives on through the generations she nurtured. Her kindness, resilience, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain alive in every shared meal, every handmade blanket, every family gathering, and every act of love passed from one generation to the next.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Harbor Hospice of Portland, Funeraria del Angel of Corpus Christi, and Rose Hill Memorial Park for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, US, on July 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the Holy Rosary at the same location at 12:30 pm, and the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St, Corpus Christi, TX 78408, US, on July 23, 2026, from 2:30 pm.
