It is very sad to learn of my brother's death.  He will now surely come into the arms of his father, mother and sister.

Dear Opa (grandpa), it was an absolute privilege, pleasure, and blessing to be your granddaughter, goddaughter, and best friend. The fond memories and moments we had together were special. You made the best fresh bread and "solider" sandwiches for breakfast on the weekends when I would spend the night. The mini beach trips were fun; I remember jumping over the waves and building sandcastles with you. You were always at my awards ceremonies; school plays with Oma. I spotted that Hawaiian shirt right away. When you used to pick me up from school, I always had the habit of asking, "Which house are we going to?" Opa always said, "Our house is in the middle of the street." Ironically, there is a song called "Our House" by Chris Foreman, and it was a fun musical vibe to Opa's house. Your response always made me laugh because it was the same every time. My high school graduation became the best night of my life, and I am glad you witnessed that pride moment with me. As my former driving instructor, I appreciate your patience and willingness to help me get my learner's permit and become comfortable behind the wheel first. Of all those moments we had together, my favorite one was spending the night at your house and Oma's every other weekend. My life journey with Opa was magical; may he Rest In Peace with all the angels and saints in heaven; I love you, grandpa; love your granddaughter, Jasmine.

Franz aka (Opa) was such a beautiful person and always had a sense of humor.  I loved his accent and him and Oma  loved to  dance going to those New Year Eve dances.  I always admired  and loved that about them going out dancing! He lived a good life and so happy him and Oma came to Texas to be with their family. He always made us feel at home from day 1. We are truly going to miss him at our family gatherings. He loved my husband always held a conversation with him. Opa you are in a better place right now with no more pain and suffering. May you rest in peace! Praying for you and your family!.

Father-In-Law: A Tribute to Mine.
You don’t hear too much about Father In Law, but I must say that mine was one of the best! What made him so special in my eyes, was that he was the father of two children and each one of them looked up to their Father with respect, love, and admiration. That’s not to say that they didn’t look up to their Mother in the same way, but, there was something different about how they all related to him.

Being the parents of two children is a tough job no matter how much you love them, but it is even tougher when they start to grow up and bring a whole bunch of other people into the family dynamic.

And this is where my Father in Law, stood heads above many others. My Father in Law was a thinker! He was a quiet man, who didn’t push himself on anyone, but he would quietly watch and mentally “figure” out whether that person was a good person or not. And then he did the most incredible thing…….he kept his feelings to himself and would let that new person fit into the family.  I fitted right into the family as his son-in-law..  May the Lord bless  him for the many years he had on this earth.  May the Angels sing high and rejoice with him in the eyes of the Lords Mercy. Rest in Peace (Papa) We love you.....
