He began his community service as an Altar Boy for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. Frank graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1979. He and Jo Ann were married for 27 years and made many wonderful memories along the way. Always putting the needs of their five children first. Frank enjoyed cooking breakfast for his family and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, family and friends. He enjoyed going on road trips and making memories with his beloved wife Jo Ann. Frank was a devoted Big Brother to his siblings, Joe Cantu Jr. and Letty Casiano. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Tuloso Midway ISD in shipping/receiving as a mail clerk. His former employers were Bradley's Hermetics, Builder's Square, Handy Dan, and Lone Star Beer INC. He also was a member of the Corpus Christi Area Basketball Official's Association and was also a member Texas Association Sports Officials.
Frank enjoyed staying active by going on walks and being a game official. Before becoming a game official, Frank enjoyed participating in the Corpus Christi Bayball Bally Hoop tournaments. He continued his community service by always helping those in need one example: He was always prepared and ready to hand out care packages when needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aida T. Cantu, Jose M. Cantu.
Frank is survived by his wife, Joann, children, Amanda Teatom (Chris), Hilary Cantu (Ricky Nelson), Sara Cantu, Kyle Cantu (Cecilia), Kayla Cantu (John Suarez). He was a loving grandfather to Layla Cantu, Elijah Cantu, Stevei Keidel , Isaiah Cantu, and Scarlett Suarez. Frank is also survived by his brother Joe Cantu Jr. (Hope Garvay), sister Letty Casiano (Martin Green). He has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family members who he loved dearly. Frank will always be remembered for his words of wisdom and fighting spirit. We would like to thank the many people who knew and loved Frank. Your care and devotion meant the world to him and his family. We would like to also thank his Primary Care Physician, Dr. David Sutter and St. Luke's Liver Transplant Team in Houston TX.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
