He was born in Yorktown, Texas and was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi. He was a printer and retired from Tuloso-Midway.
Fred is survived by his wife Lupita Muniz; son Peter C. Muniz, daughter Veronica M. Rivas (Eloy Rivas); grandsons: Fermin A. Garcia, Peter Muniz, Jr., and Mark A. Muniz; granddaughters: Erica Valadez, Kayla C. Rivas and Alexa V. Rivas; great grandson Larry Valadez; great granddaughter Leah Valadez and brother Alfred Muniz
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne Street in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
