

Gabe, as he was known to his friends, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed having bar-b-que's with his family and friends. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Gabe and his wife Connie raised their children in Houston, where he worked as a welder for Cameron Iron Works for over 30 years, before retiring. After his retirement Gabe moved back to Corpus Christi to spend the rest of his days.
Gabe will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 49 years Connie V. Escobedo, granddaughter Valencia Escobedo, brothers Martin and Valentin Escobedo.
His memory is cherished by his survivors, sons Perry G. and Gino Escobedo both of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters Elia Delgado of Houston, Texas and Terry Escobedo of Corpus Christi, Texas; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brother Richard Escobedo (Maria) of Houston, Texas; sister Vivian Brulloths of Austin, Texas; his best friend Santos Salinas of Sinton, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Chapel Mass will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
