Gene N Segura 61 of Corpus Christi Texas. Passed away after a long battle on hospice on September 2nd 2024. He was born in Albuquerque New Mexico November 27th 1962. He went to Albuquerque High School and joined the US Army National Guard as a shooting expert. And then join the US Army full time as a heavy equipment operator. After the military he had a career in the US Postal Service. He was married to the love of his life, Jeanette LaJeunesse on November 29th 1980. He loved his wife and was married for 43 years. His first love was a passion for God, fishing, hunting restoring cars from the inside out, remodeling homes and his favorite team, the Raiders. He also liked building things with his hands for a better world for his family. And he also loved gambling. He's preceded in death by his parents Requel and Elsie Segura. Brother Ezequiel Segura. Biological parents Marlene Scholarman and Robert Marquez.And Son in law Michael Ornelas.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Segura, daughters Chanel Segura,Chole' Segura' Gomez(husband Christopher), Sons Issac, and Elias Segura (wife Angelina) Cat (Lincoln) Grandchildren Gabriel Segura,Cerenity Gomez,Leighton Segura,Cylin Gomez,Cyra Gomez,Phoenix Ornelas,Elina Segura,Cayleb Gomez,Eli Segura,and Aria Ornelas.Also survived by 2 sisters Trini Encinias,Pamela Ball.Brothers Robert Marquez,Jose Garcia,and Michael Scholarman. Many LaJeunesse in laws aunt and uncle's nieces and nephews and cousins too many to mention but with love . Gene is greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation for Gene will be held Friday September 13,2024 from 5-7PM follow by Prayer services at7pm.Followed by Family/Friends gathering till 10PM at Funeraria Del Angel 4901 Everhart Road.Corpus Christi, Texas 78411. Gene will be laid to rest on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas at 2:00pm.
