George Escamilla

George Escamilla passed away in his sleep at age 87, June 8, 2017. He was born in Laredo, TX on April 14, 1930. George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He was also a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin & friend to many.

Preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Elvira M. Escamilla; father: Pedro Reyes Escamilla; mother, Carmen Garcia Escamilla; sister, Francisca Rubio; brother, Benigno Escamilla; daughter, Maria Carmen Escamilla; sons, Rene Escamilla & Javier Escamilla; grandson, Joshua Nino and great-grandsons, Gary Rynkewitz and Frankie Rynkewitz.

He is survived by his son: George (Rosemary) Escamilla, Jr.; daughter, Cynthia (Ty) Hardin; sisters: Beatriz Donaghy, Diamantina (Arturo) Smith and Maria Luisa Ortiz; brother, Jose Angel (Annie) Escamilla; grandchildren: Tracie Escamilla, Selena (Justin Rios) Leal and Cheryl (Abel) Acosta; great-grandchildren: Dylan Lewis, Angelina Ellis, Nataly Leal, Ava Acosta, Abel Acosta, Jace Rios, Alivia Acosta & Nevaeh Acosta.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Chapel with services starting at 2:00 pm.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, prayers and support. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses, CNA’s and the administration faculty in caring for our father during his stay at River Ridge Nursing Home in Calallen.
