Gilbert Lee Rodriguez Sr., age 36, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Gilbert was born on February 3, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his grandmother, Seferina Rodriguez; parents, Leon Rodriguez Jr. and Sylvia Rodriguez; brother, Leon Rodriguez III (Amie); sister, Katrina Garcia; children, Eric, Gilbert Jr., Mariyah, and Celeste; 2 nephews and 4 nieces. Gilbert is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leon Rodriguez Sr., Daniel Gonzalez Sr., and Olga Monsalve. Gilbert graduated from Richard King High School in 1998. He had careers in the food service, retail sales, and his latest as a CDL Truck Driver. He had a passion for spending time with family and friends. He loved to make people smile and laugh by telling jokes and bringing up memories. In his presence, there was never a dull moment. Gilbert showed his love for life, family, and friends through pictures he would take to capture the moment. He was a loving soul with a big heart and smile on his face. He will be missed by many and loved forever.
Pallbearers will be Celeste, Eric, Leon, Mariano, Mariyah, Gilbert Jr., Michael and Steve.
