Grace Darlene Higgs(known as Gigi), age 87, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family.
Born on October 27, 1937, in Abilene, Texas, Darlene was the daughter of Alfred and Grace Wright. She dedicated her life to raising her children and found great joy in tending to her garden, which blossomed with beauty and reflected the warmth she brought to those around her.
Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Higgs, and her sons, Russell Higgs and Alan Higgs.
She is survived by her daughter, Debby Ivey (Curtis), and her daughter-in-law, Cindy Baumgardner. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.
A private graveside interment for immediate family will be held at 1:30 PM on June 7, 2025, at Memory Gardens in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Gigi will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
