

Gregorio Jimenez, Jr. entered into heavenly rest June 10, 2011. He was born December 19, 1951, to Gregorio Jimenez, Sr. and Cruz Olivarez Jimenez in Sinton, Texas.
Gregorio graduated from Sinton High School in 1972 and went on to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force for 8 years, leaving with a rank of staff sergeant.
He married Lilia Guerrero on April 10, 1987 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He worked for Citgo for 29 years and was known to his co-workers as Uncle Greg.
Gregorio became a Christian on June 1989 during parent’s night of Vacation Bible School at Segunda Iglesia Bautista and served his Lord and Savior until his death.
His favorite bible verse was Proverbs 3: 5-6; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”. “ Confia en el SENOR de todo Corazon, y no en tu propia inteligencia. Reconocelo en todos tus “caminos, y el allanara tus sendas”. His favorite hymn was “Amigo Halle”.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, two sons, three daughters, two son-in-laws,13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother John Jimenez and sisters, Olga Espinoza and Inocencia Ybarra and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving family and friends at 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Segunda Iglesia Bautista at 10:00 am on Thursday, June16, 2011. Services conclude after church service.
