You were in my life for a short time. On weekends I would stay with Marisela. I remember the first time I had real Mexican sweetbread from that little bakery on the way home. You stopped off and got me one allowing me to eat it in your truck as you drove. It was the best I'd ever had. You were a sweet and caring man and will be missed. Thank you for treating me like family when I needed it most.

On behalf of the Avalos Family in Houston, Tx., our deepest condolences to the entire Banda family. Lupe was dearly loved and admired for the love he showed our late Tia Lila. My favorite memory of Lupe is watching him care for my Tia Lila as she was in the hospital on her last days. He gently brushed her hair and spoke to her so softly letting her know her sisters were there to see her and be with her. It didn't matter if she could hear him he cared for her until her last breath. The kindness he expressed to her and her family spoke volumes of the kind of man he was. I'd like to also express my gratitude for the friendship, love and support he showed my father who now resides in heaven as well. What a reunion that will be! Prayers for peace and comfort for the family. May you rest in eternal peace Lupe!
