Guadalupe Bazaldua Jr.

Our beloved father, Guadalupe Bazaldua Jr, age 71, went to our Lord and Savior on July 15, 2022 to be reunited with his wife Maria Juanita Bazaldua and sons, Guadalupe III and Rene Bazaldua. He was born in McAllen, Texas on June 28, 1951 to the late Guadalupe Bazaldua Sr. and Maria Garcia Bazaldua. He was a loving father, brother, boyfriend, grandfather, uncle, nephew, and friend.

He was united in holy matrimony to Juana Bazaldua in January 24, 1968 for 41 years. This union was blessed with six children. Mrs. B preceded him in death on May 19, 2009. His sons preceded him in death, B.B. on December 18, 2014 and Rene on February 24, 2016. He is survived by his four loving daughters: Diana Bazaldua, Delores Bazaldua, Dora (Hector Lee) Pinon, and Dina Bazaldua and his sister, Alicia Stamatakis; two daughters by son's formal marriages, Elvia Garcia and Patricia Cervantes; 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and many close friends.

Lupe is also survived by his devoted girlfriend of 10 years, Sherre Wildman and her five children: Jennifer Lynn (Rolando Lara) Hand, Sherre Deanna Wildman, LeRoy Wildman, Lowell Stevens Wildman, and Jeremy Munoz and one grandchild, David Alejandro Lara.

He is preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Bazaldua, Rudy Bazaldua, Roger Bazaldua, and his great-grandchildren, Athen R. Pinon, and Joshua B, Salazar Jr.

He was a hardworking man with an impeccable work ethic and devotion to his employment of 30 plus years with Coastal Bend Sweeping Services until his retirement in 2018. Mr. B. loved family gatherings, his 5 dogs, watching wrestling and the Dallas Cowboys; he enjoyed BBQs, crabbing, and fishing. He will always be remembered for his love of food, especially catfish, menudo, and Chinese buffet. He was not a picky eater. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his grandchildren: Jessica Bazaldua, Guadalupe Bazaldua IV (GB), Amanda Rose Pinon, Janelle Bazaldua, Jennifer Ramos, Amanda Marie Bazaldua, Hector Pinon Jr (PJ), Jonathan Salazar, Dana Bazaldua, Jenna Bazaldua, Matthew Bazaldua, Joshua Salazar, Michael Ramos, Randy Perales Jr (RJ), Samuel Hall, Jaclynn Bazaldua, Justin Pinon, Frankie Perales, Jordan Pinon and generations to come. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Wake Service to be held at 7:00pm to 8:00 pm by Pastor Daniel Sanchez from Glory Full Gospel Church. Funeral Services will continue on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel from 8:30 am to 9:45 am followed with mass at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial Services will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery from 11:20 am to 12:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan/Joshua Salazar, Guadalupe Bazaldua IV (GB), Hector Pinon Jr. (PJ), Michael Ramos, Lowell Wildman, Samuel Hall, Rafael Rivera Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Hector Pinon Sr., Robert Hall, Matthew Bazaldua, Randy Perales Jr. (RJ), Jordan Pinon, Justin Pinon, Jeremy Munoz, Frankie Perales, and Rafael Rivera Sr.

A special thanks to Bay Area Hospital Emergency Room physician, Dr. Juan Ramirez and registered nurses, WellMed at Morgan Rd primary physician, Dr. Amelio Perez and medical staff, Coastal Bend Cancer Center physician, Dr. Alfonso Villamil and medical staff, and to all the people who supported the family through prayers and love offerings.
