

Lupe was born November 29, 1915 to Mariano and Hermenegilda Luna. He married the love of his life, Ernestina Martinez on July 5, 1942. He worked for Centex Cement Company and retired there after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Guadalupe (Artie) Lee; sons: Gilbert (Delma) Luna, Gerald (Mary Lou) Luna and Rey (Janie) Luna; 19 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in several auxiliaries. He is a World War II Veteran serving with the Army Air Corp. He enjoyed in his senior years, dancing at the Greenwood and Lindale Community Centers and the company of their friends. He was blessed with a compassionate spirit and of service to all. He enjoyed playing the accordion and loved conjunto music. He loved sports and supported his children in all things. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will begin Friday, November 12, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel, at 549 Cheyenne. Visitation will resume Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 Horne Rd., at 12:00 noon with a Service to begin at 1:00 pm. President Hernandez will officiate services.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
