Haynie Key Glasgow

Haynie was a graduate of Roy Miller High School and attended Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. He worked in the oil, gas, and refining industries as a machinist and supervisor. His work took him to Saudi Arabia for 5 years during which time he and his wife had many adventures traveling abroad. Some of his favorites were kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland and visiting his ancestral Scotland.

With a loyal dog by his side, he was known to “pack a toothbrush and swim trunks” and take his young family on many memorable camping trips in the Texas Hill country, Concan being among his favorites. He and his beloved wife of 43 years enjoyed a love of the outdoors, gardening, camping, travelling, sharing time and making memories with family, and doting on their pets.

In his lifetime, Haynie was a Master Swimmer, coached youth gymnastics, lead scouting activities, and encouraged and mentored those around him towards a life of fitness and health. All in perfect balance of course with good Mexican food and a Budweiser. He was an avid, forgiving, and loving fan of the Dallas Cowboys and so enjoyed the football season each year.

Haynie is predeceased by his wife and dearest love, Paula Baldwin Glasgow, grandson, Ryan Luckenbach, and parents Theo and Virginia Glasgow.

He is survived by his children Justin Glasgow, Barbara Crow, Grant (Sheri) Hilliard, Leslye Evans (David Minshew), Desda (Roland) Barrera. Grandchildren, Madeline Crow, Hannah (Cody) Palm, Lance (Jo) Luckenbach, Ashley (Lupe) Valadez, Brittany (Eric) Gurule, McKenna (Matthew) Traywick, Madison Tansey, Nathan (Sadie) Hilliard, and ten great-grandchildren who he took great joy in playing with at every opportunity.
