Heleodoro B. Cantu Jr.

He was born on May 10, 1926 in Matamoros, Tamps., Mexico to the late Heleodoro B. Sr. and Guadalupe Cantu.

Lolo is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Paco Rodriguez.

He retired from HEB as a foreman in 1987 after 35 years of service. He was hardworking and did whatever he had to do for his family. His hard work was demonstrated through working several jobs, including lawn maintenance throughout Corpus Christi with his sons. He also loved to travel to Las Vegas, Eagle Pass and Louisiana for fun. He will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.

Lolo leaves behind his family to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Herminia N. Cantu; children, Juanita Rodriguez, Lupita Crice (Steve), Maria Garza, Oscar Cantu, Rudy Cantu (Patty), Letty Rodriguez (Russell McNorton), Abel Rodriguez, Lolo Cantu (Linda), Javier Cantu (Christy) and Mark Cantu (Jamie); niece, Carmen Ayala (Alex); 23 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
