Herlinda T. Valdez

Herlinda, known as GiGi to her great-grandchildren, loved the Lord, her family, and her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Americo Valdez; sister, Zoila T. Moreno; brother, Juan Jose Trejo; and son-in-law, Mike Haese.

Herlinda is survived by her son, Hector Valdez; daughters, Selma Hernandez (Ron), Irasema Haese, Deena Valdez, and Irene Landa (Rudy); grandchildren, Marc Hernandez (Corina), Gabrielle Valdez, Andrea Valdez, Nicole Leal (Pete), Cesar Landa, and Sara Landa; great-grandchildren, Zackary Casarez, Raphael Leal, and Zoey Hernandez; sister, Sofia T. Garcia;and brother-in-law, Arturo Moreno.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Community Outreach Ministry.
